Assignment – DG000, introduction to SDCL A better understanding of the educational model

I experienced the lectures on the different competences given by DG000 very useful, as they give a nice overview of the various aspects of this studies. It also gave me new insights. For example: In my PDP, I defined FS and DMM way too narrow as competences dealing with colors and numbers. The lectures about these competences made me see that these subjects are much broader (and more interesting) than I thought beforehand.

The assignments related to DG000 gave me mixed feelings. Some were really useful, like the research we did for UFP, IT and DMM. These were easy to integrate in the design process. The results from the presentation about different dutch schooltypes for SCA however, were more difficult to connect to the project at first sight. The feedback on these assignments clarified for me how to connect these assignments to the project, for example by using it to define a context for the concept.
