Basic course – Calculus A first step in mathematical modeling
During this semester I followed the basic course Calculus. I spent a lot of time on making the homework, digital tests and studying theory in the book. As a result my mathematical skills improved remarkably. I have more confidence in doing mathematical calculations myself without using my graphing calculator.

The use of this course for me as a designer is implicit: by doing calculus I gained some the necessary mathematical knowledge that helps me to succeed in the basic course Physics and Modeling in the following quartiles. For example: I know how to work with vectors, which is of great use for analyzing motion in two or three dimensions in the course 3NAB0 Applied Natural Sciences.
I will continue developing my mathematical skills by applying them in the other basic courses. Eventually I will use my knowledge of calculus indirectly in my project by applying the knowledge and skills from the courses Physics and Modeling.
